B2B goes digital - ticket management in your own online account

The advantages of digital tickets are obvious. Not only are they more environmentally friendly as they do away with paper, they also offer an improved user experience and ensure less clearing effort on the day of the event. After we launched the digital ticket almost two years ago, the digital ticket function has now been activated in over 200 Tixx online shops, and the digital ticket is often the only ticket option on offer. 

One of the pioneers in the introduction of digital tickets is 1. FC Köln. The digital ticket was introduced at the start of the 2022/23 season, with 95% of all Effzeh fans using it after just a few weeks. The digital ticket was also well received by season ticket holders right from the start: "The digital season ticket makes things much easier for stadium visitors. The solution is cost-effective and sustainable for all parties. Season ticket holders are also flexible in how they pass on their tickets until kick-off and the service on match day has been noticeably reduced, as nobody can forget their ticket or it is defective." 

 

What exactly is a digital ticket?

The digital ticket is available for both single and subscription/season tickets. When booking a digital ticket, the buyer can decide after the purchase whether they want to save the ticket to their Apple or Google Wallet or download it as a PDF. It is also possible to forward the ticket to friends and acquaintances with just one click. The season ticket can be forwarded either as a whole or as individual games from the season ticket. The recipient of the ticket does not need their own customer account to save the ticket. 

 

Further development of the digital ticket to include B2B functionalities 

Not only have the requirements of individual fans changed in recent years, but the needs of partners have also changed. While the beautifully designed hard ticket was indispensable a few years ago, the focus is now on the digital and uncomplicated distribution of tickets. For this reason, we have further developed the digital ticket function: 

Below is an overview of the developments:  

  • A new landing page that clearly displays the digital tickets for future events.  
  • All of the customer's digital tickets are displayed at a glance, even if they originate from different bookings.  
  • Modern display of all important ticket information: exact seat, booked price and discount, ticket type (single ticket or season ticket) as well as information on whether the ticket has already been shared and, if so, with whom.  
  • The tickets are sorted chronologically by event. All tickets belonging to the event are displayed together, regardless of whether they are single tickets or part of a season ticket.  
  • Individual tickets, all tickets for an event or all of the customer's tickets can be forwarded or downloaded with a single click using the selection button.  

 

Filter and search function as a further expansion stage 

In addition to the clear display and download function, tickets can also be filtered by ticket type and status (already shared, not yet shared). In addition, an intelligent search function ensures that even customers with a large number of events and tickets in their account can find the tickets they want within a few seconds.
